Rocky Mountain Youth Corps (RMYC) is a nonprofit work, service, and training organization serving communities throughout New Mexico. The American Sign Language (ASL) Assistant Crew Supervisor will play a pivotal role in building successful crews and meaningful programming for a diverse crew of young adults aged 18 to 25. In partnership with the Albuquerque Sign Language Academy & New Mexico School for the Deaf, corpsmembers of each crew will be both hearing and hearing-impaired, with American Sign Language as the commonality between all members and the main form of communication within the crew. The ASL Assistant Crew Supervisor will be a leader, facilitator, and communicator, tasked with inspiring fellow corpsmembers to achieve personal and professional growth. As both a member of the crew and a part of the leadership team the ACS occupies a unique and demanding position. For the right individual, this position is a pathway towards full leadership positions and further opportunities in conservation.
Position Type: Seasonal, full time, non-exempt
Schedule: 40 hours per week, excluding lunch. Schedules may vary based on project location and crew. 7:00AM - 3:30PM Monday-Thursday, & every other Friday.

This is an AmeriCorps position, and ACS’s will receive a living allowance throughout the season, as well as an education award upon successful completion of the term of service. This award can be used to pay tuition at most colleges, universities, or trade schools, or to pay off student loans already acquired. ACS’s are also eligible for health insurance during their term of service.
$840 every two weeks, assuming full attendance
