Join an American Sign Language Inclusion crew working on conservation projects in the greater Albuquerque area. Serve your community as part of a team while working with other AmeriCorps members!
Crews will work to safely complete projects such as trail construction/maintenance, habitat/wetland restoration, erosion control, invasive species removal, and restoration/repair of historic structures. Service work involves collaboration with the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service, National Park Service, U.S. Forest Service, and the Albuquerque Sign Language Academy. All Corpsmembers will receive both personal and professional development training in topics such as First Aid/CPR, financial management, and career development.
This is an AmeriCorps position and corpsmembers will receive a living allowance throughout the season, as well as an education award upon successful completion of the term of service. This award can be used to pay tuition at most colleges, universities, or trade schools, or to pay off student loans already acquired. Corpsmembers are also eligible for health insurance during their term of service.
$760 every two weeks, assuming full attendance
